Arthur’s Pass National Park is easily accessible from The Doug Log House, and one great day trip is Avalanche Peak, although it is fairly steep, with approximately 1100m of ascent & descent. Shaping up to be a great winter here in the Craigieburns! Porters have their new chairlift up and running. All the other Craigieburn fields are now open with some decent initial snow bases, and looking like up to another 30cm coming later this week.
