Welcome to The Doug, our solid log holiday house at Castle Hill in Canterbury's beautiful
high country.

Built from solid Douglas Fir logs, with a strong emphasis on good passive solar design coupled with great insulation and plenty of unique quirks, our lodge serves as a perfect base to explore the Castle Hill Basin and further afield, with a myriad of tracks
(tramping and biking), ski-fields, rivers/streams, mountains, etc, all waiting for you, topped off with plenty of fresh air, calm weather and clear skies.

Trig 'M' above Lake Lyndon

There are great views over Lake Lyndon into the Castle Hill Basin, along the Lake Lyndon Road towards the Rakaia river, and back down Coach Stream towards Springfield.
